She is fascinated by color and loves playing with unusual color combinations, as well as varying the application of paint to add visual interest and personal style to each artwork. Carolyn is always searching for just the right mix of thick textures, thin glazes, opaque and translucent areas, crisp linework, and blended washes that entice and draw you in. Her hope is that each painting makes a powerful statement from afar, while up close, the finer details captivate and delight.
